Data protection and privacy

1. Roles in data protection: Under applicable data protection law, the Merchant acts as Controller of their end customers' personal data and is solely responsible for defining the purpose and legal basis for collecting and processing that data. MoreReviews acts exclusively as Processor, processing data entered on the platform only as needed for the technical operation of the tools provided.

2. Contact collection and use: The Merchant acknowledges that the platform provides a redirect to WhatsApp (via the wa.me API) using phone numbers voluntarily provided by end customers on the review page. MoreReviews does not send automated messages. Clicking the button and starting a WhatsApp conversation happens in an environment under the Merchant's sole responsibility, using their own device or account (personal or Business).

3. Merchant responsibility (Controller): The Merchant warrants that they have authorization, an adequate legal basis (such as legitimate interest or consent), and compliance with WhatsApp policies to contact the end customer. The Merchant commits to honoring deletion/opt-out requests if the customer asks not to receive further messages.

4. Disclaimer: MoreReviews is not liable for civil, administrative, or criminal claims from end customers regarding spam, unwanted outreach, privacy violations, or blocking of the Merchant's WhatsApp account. If a dispute or sanction is imposed by the data protection authority due to the Merchant's misuse, the Merchant shall hold MoreReviews harmless and indemnify it for any direct or indirect damages.
